Colds and Flu

As winter is now upon us it's the season of the colds and flu but can you tell if you a cold or are suffering from flu here is a few symptoms to look out for

COLDS AND FLU

How can you tell whether it is a heavy cold or the flu? Here is the difference:

Headache - prominent in flu, but rare in a cold.

Fever - frequent and sudden in flu; rare in a cold.

Fatigue - extreme in flu and can last 2-3 weeks; there is only mild fatigue with a cold.

General aches - common and often severe in flu; slight in a cold.

Runny nose - occasionally in flu; common with a cold.

Cough - common with flu and can become severe; only mild to moderate in a cold.

Sore throat - sometimes with flu; common with a cold.

 CAUSES

The cause is a variety of viruses.

But somtimes the person has allowed himself to become run down so that the virus was able to take hold.

Some factors which lower the body's resistance to virus
infection are fatigue, overexposure to cold, recent or
present infections, allergic reactions, wrong eating, and inhalation of dust or gas, overeating, alcohol consumption.

The common cold is a pre disease and is the reaction the body has when fighting back and gaining control to bring everything back to normal like you would if you had just had a party everything needs cleaning up and thats what your body is doing

There is no one stop cure for a cold virus as it can change size and shape, making it hard to produce a suitable vaccine. There are more than a 100 different viruses which can cause colds.

Symptoms genraly last for 7 to14 days regardless of what you take for them.
The incubation period is very short about 1 to3 days, instead of 10 to 21 days for most viruses.

A cold can seems to suddenly appear out of nowhere. You get a tingling in the nose and throat, nasal mucus, and a scratchy throat; this is when you should take your self to bed and rest before the coughing, weakness, and fever start and allow your body to do it's house keeping.

Take vitamin C, zinc, and garlic and plenty of fluids hot lemon drinks try to avoid asprin as this can have side affects some herbal teas may help like rose hips, peppermint, chamomile, golden seal, slippery elm and ginger.

A hot bath with 5 or 6 drops of Eucalyptus oil is helpful to clear the head you can also put 5 or 6 drop of Eucalyptus oil in a cup of boiling water avoid burning yourself put a towel over your head and breath in the vapours to help clear sinus congestion.

Prevention is better than cure so eat and sleep properly exercise and try not to let your body get rundown also aviod sharing food and cutlery with someone that has a cold.

Alternative Medicine for Womens Health

Since women's health is such a huge topic, I have chosen to
concentrate on one aspect of women's health which continues
to be an issue.

There are over a hundred symptoms associated with PMS.
Unfortunately, because each woman is different, there is no
agreed upon cause or treatment for the effects of PMS
within the medical community.

What they do all agree on is that a regular menstrual cycle
is a sign of good health. Isn't that special? Doesn't help
to know you're healthy if you are in pain or having mood
swings that cause you to have to make the decision to stay
home for a day rather than risk the chance of having to
call your best friend for bail money.

Well, conventional medicine can offer pain pills, water
pills, and hormonal therapy, but alternatives to these
forms of comfort can be more relaxing and have fewer side
effects.

And while I for one am not going to "run with the wolves",
I would like to achieve some sort of balance between seeing
cramps as a medical "problem" and a "gift of mother earth."

Give me a break, I just want to not cry or punch out people
at the drop of a hat for a week out of each month. Let's
explore those options:

Alternative Medicine for Womens Health

Acupuncture relieves pain and stress, and can leave you
feeling so relaxed that you're feeling too good to punch
anyone out.

Same goes for massage, and your massage therapist can show
you self massage to do on your lower abdomen any time you
need to relax cramps. No medicine is involved, and both of
these alternative therapies are non-invasive.

Chinese medicinal herbs are used in concocting teas and
poultices for the relief of PMS symptoms. These include
Kava Kava Chai and ginseng teas.

The top recommended teas are made from Viburnum and help
with cramping, irritability, and swelling. Dandelion helps
with swollen breasts, muscle spasms, and acne.

Your herbalist can recommend the appropriate combination of
herbs for your individual symptoms, as well as bath soaks
and foot rubs.

Osteopathy is an alternative medicine that can help with
internal organ ailments and fight osteoporosis. The women's
health center at Oklahoma State University (founded by the
Osteopath society) sponsors the "Take Charge" program,
which sponsors health education and alternative therapy
forums for women across the country.

Chakra and crystal healing energy is used in a wide variety
of ways to increase blood flow which (ironically, if you
think about it) lessens headache and tension symptoms of
PMS.

This appears to work, but is a little touchy feely crystal
dolphin wacko for me; I prefer yoga and herbal teas,
pragmatic and to the point.

Although not considered alternative therapy, per se,
exercise is a great way to relieve symptoms and lessen
fatigue.

One form of exercise which could be considered alternative
is yoga. The slow stretching movements and low impact
cardio of yoga is very good for menstrual symptoms.

Hypnosis is fast becoming the alternative medicine of
choice for PMS sufferers. Hypnosis is geared toward finding
out the causes and conditions of symptoms, therefore
relieving the pain holistically, that is to say, removing
the root cause of irritability and stress.

While it is obviously hormonal in nature, the mood swings
of PMS can be brought under control with light hypnosis
which focuses on teaching the patient that the moodiness is
temporary, and not to be taken to heart.

Now I don't know about you, but I am much more likely to
believe a hypnotist when she says "It will be okay, you
will get through this, it is temporary," than I am to
believe my husband, who says" Are you on your period? That
explains it…"

Now you see why it's important to save up bail money if
you're not using Alternative Medicine for Womens Health.

Home Remedies for Teeth Whitening

Home Remedies for Teeth Whitening

There are a variety of home remedies suggested by people to
whiten your teeth, and with varying degrees of success.

Most of these home remedies for teeth whitening can help in
the short term, using ingredients you have at home, such as
baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice, and salt. If you are
careful, these can help you to keep your teeth looking
whiter.

Many teeth whitening processes involve rubbing your teeth
with abrasive materials, but you want to avoid rubbing them
too much, because if you rub off the top layer of your
teeth, the tooth enamel, your dentine layer will be
exposed.

This is harmful to your teeth as well as making your teeth
look greyish. Use caution and a soft bristle brush with
home-made teeth whitening attempts.

Here are a few home remedies for teeth whitening you could
try (not all at once!):

1. Lemon Juice (either from a bottle or from a lemon) mixed
with a bit of table salt. In a small cup, mix the cupful of
lemon juice with two to three very small spoonfuls of salt.
Dip your toothbrush in and gently rub. Rinse mouth with
water. Do not apply salt directly to the brush. Do this
once every second day for up to 5 times. After doing this,
brush your teeth with toothpaste – acids can actually cause
tooth staining if left on the teeth.

2. Try fruit! Rub a strawberry on your front teeth before
brushing your teeth with regular or whitening toothpaste.

3. Baking soda. Mix fresh baking soda with some cold water
and gently rub teeth with the mixture. Use the flat part of
your finger or a soft bristle toothbrush dipped into the
baking soda to apply the baking soda to your front teeth.
Do not rub vigorously or with a hard toothbrush. Let the
baking soda sit for a couple of minutes, rubbing gently.
Rinse mouth with clean water.

4. Or, try vinegar! Dip a soft toothbrush in vinegar and
brush gently. Avoid excessive vinegar on your gums, the
acid can make your gums feel unpleasant. Rinse mouth with
water after. To get between the teeth, try dipping your
floss in vinegar before flossing.

5. Make a paste of vinegar with baking soda. Mix vinegar
with baking soda and apply the paste to your front teeth
with your finger, rubbing gently using up and down motions.
Rinse mouth with water. While rinsing, force water between
teeth by closing teeth and pouring water into your mouth.

6. Some people try brushing or even rinsing their teeth
with hydrogen peroxide. This may whiten your teeth, but the
peroxide can damage your gums and the lining of your mouth.
Also, keep in mind that the concentration of hydrogen
peroxide in the bottles you can buy, and in the whitening
agents you can buy, is different. If you do choose to do
this, dab the peroxide on a tiny bit at a time with a
cotton swab, to prevent any peroxide from touching your
gums.

An important thing to remember with these home remedies for
teeth whitening methods is to be patient. It will take time
to remove the stains on the teeth, and it may take several
weeks to see results. Don’t forget to continue your normal
teeth and mouth cleaning regimen as well.

Wrinkles Reduction Anti Aging Remedies

Wrinkles Reduction Anti Aging Remedies

Wrinkles are the course of aging, for that reason a
quantity of wrinkles cannot be circumvented.

Nevertheless, if you want to reduce wrinkles certain
surgeries or injections are optional.

Wrinkles Reduction Anti Aging Remedies BOTOX is one of the
injection procedures for reducing or eliminating wrinkles.
However, the procedure lasts a few months. The procedure
cost anywhere from $245 to $600 depending on the area, and
doctor. Few surgical procedures for reducing wrinkles may
cost less than $200.

On the other hand, if you want a cheaper route for wrinkles
reduction anti aging remedies, the masking treatments might
be a better choice. Masks are reasonably priced solutions
for reducing wrinkles.

As long as you make use of the masking solutions, daily,
slight wrinkle reduction actions will occur. The
manufactured goods tighten the face section, while pushing
the skin upward.

Mask wrinkles reduction anti-aging remedies are applied to
the face every day, or else at some point in the evening
and is left on the skin up to five or ten minutes. After
treatment, you clean the residue with warm water.

Ointments that protect the skin are from time to time
helpful products. The creams assist in keeping the
moisture, while supposedly reducing wrinkles. The creams
may enhance skin tone, whilst serving to trim down
wrinkles.

Exercising the face is a biological procedure that
frequently works better than any chemical based
manufactured good. Facial exercises, including wiggling the
ears, moving the mouth in sphere shaped motion can assist
in minimizing wrinkles.

As we grow older, the skin encounters breakdowns,
especially losing collagen, pigments, and cells. People
begin to show aging signs, including crowfeet, fine lines,
and wrinkles around the eye area and forehead.

The mouth also catches a bit of aging signs as we age. A
number of people have more wrinkles than average, thus the
reason various, since the skin type may play a role in the
rapid development of age.

An assortment of products on the marketplace alleges to
present the ultimate answer for minimizing or eliminating
aging signs. Few of those products include creams, masks,
serums, lotions, toners, machines, gels, foams, buffers,
natural products, supplements, liquid formulas, syringes,
surgery and so on.

The product sellers confess that the products prevent or
eliminate wrinkles while enhancing the skins features,
adding beauty and restoring the face back to youth.

The fact is leading researchers are finding that several
ingredients found in many anti-aging solutions may cause
cancer. The truth is no one has the ultimate solution for
eliminating aging signs. The fact is we all grow old and as
we grow the skin breaks down.

Marketers allege that face machines lend a hand in
improving the skin, while reducing wrinkles, fine lines,
crowfeet and so on.

Few machines comprise fashionable accessories, creams,
serums, and equipment that massage and/or buff the skin.
The course of action allegedly reduces wrinkles, while
improving color, tone, texture and so on.

The protecting lotions, creams and serums present a good
line of manufactured goods periodically, particularly if
the ingredients do not include Carcinogen or PARABEN. The
chemicals were linked to cancers and should be avoided.

Few manufactured goods can facilitate skin care solutions,
by helping the skin remain healthy whilst adding tone,
color and minimizing wrinkles.

The most important thing you can do when considering
wrinkles reduction anti aging remedies products is learning
more about the ingredients. While sellers will claim the
products are applied to the outside flesh and cannot harm
the body, thus anything applied to the face for reducing
wrinkles will absorb into the flesh, which spreads
throughout the body.

For more news on anti-aging products and chemicals leading
to cancer you might want to read up on the up-to-the-minute
research.

Considering anti-aging solutions, bear in mind that
marketers are out to take your cash, regardless of what the
product may do to you.

The best recommendations for wrinkles reduction anti aging
remedies are try to avoid detrimental chemicals, including
smoke, overexposure of sun and other pollutes that
obliterates the skin.

Crème De La MER is one of the products on the market that
produced a few negative reviews. Few claimed the product
worked.

As you can see, certain products work for some people while
the same product may not work for others.

Anti Aging And BOTOX

Anti Aging And BOTOX

What is BOTOX? What purpose does it provide in anti-aging
solutions? Reading the reviews can help you to see what
BOTOX does in line of reducing wrinkles, lines, crowfeet
and other symptoms stemming from aging and environmental
causes.

One of the largest disadvantages of BOTOX is that most
people cannot afford the product, since it costs around
$300. One informer claimed that BOTOX is the
better-manufactured good that eliminates wrinkles, stopping
wrinkles from developing.

Thus, the product according to one informant is that it is
pricey, yet addictive. The person stated that better
results came from surgical BOTOX rather than visits to
parishioners of the skin and dermatologist.

The pros, the party proclaimed did show results but the
results lasted a short time, while surgical injections of
BOTOX did its job.

One party tried BOTOX and claimed the procedure was
excellent. The benefits of the injections produced youthful
and relaxing look. Thus, minor bruises showed after the
injections were completed.

Thus, the person sought out BOTOX to minimize crowfeet. The
problem with this procedure is that BOTOX treatments are
costly and the process is ongoing apparently, lasting up to
four months.

One person paid around $250 for the procedure; however,
another party paid $600. Big differences! The product for
one user worked excellently and the injections reduced the
lines dramatically.

Again, the person claims that the BOTOX treatments must
continue, since the setback is the anti-aging solutions
only works a few months. The party claimed that the
injections helped to minimize headaches and made the skin
more appealing. For $600, I’d better look darn good when I
walk out of the D’s office.

Most of the reviews on BOTOX injections, excluding the
proclaimed anti-aging solutions broadcasted on the
marketplace that claims to work like the original BOTOX.
The solution for one individual worked wonders and the
wrinkles were gone.

The party claimed the treatments if conducted by a
professional knowing what the deal is, thus the pain is
less severe. From what I am seeing at this point, BOTOX is
an ongoing, expensive treatment that works temporarily and
lines begin to develop again.

Thus, stopping the procedures makes me wonder what will
occur. However, one party claimed the deepness of lines
would start to diminish with only mild lines reoccurring.

Another party complained of slight discomforts, but nothing
really to worry over.

The person claimed that several injections occurred
throughout the process, and after a couple of days you will
notice visible signs of wrinkle reduction, yet after a few
months, again, you will need another hit of BOTOX.

According to another reviewer, the cost per year of BOTOX
can range up to $1600. Facelifts can cost ten grand;
therefore, the price of BOTOX is cheaper than plastic
surgery. The product gave the same affect according to the
party narrating the affects of BOTOX.

Amazingly, contradicting the person claiming it slowed the
headaches; another party claims the drawbacks of BOTOX
treatments are bruising and headaches.

The headaches after repeated usage evaporated however.
Furthermore, the deep lines began evaporating after usage.

For $500, one party claimed BOTOX eliminated the wrinkles
and crowfeet, especially near the forehead. The process
hurt slightly.

Furthermore, this party claimed the process worked longer
after a couple of injections, and the person only visit’s
the doctor twice each year to receive BOTOX injections.

Another party at a very young age employed BOTOX as a
solution for removing frown lines. The product did wonders
for the person and the source claims that revisits will
continue, and that the treatment lasts up to five months.

Overall, everyone that has tried the BOTOX anti-aging
solution has claimed the lines have vanished, or else when
reappearing the lines is minimal.

To date, this is the only product I’ve heard all positive
reports. Other anti-aging solutions, such as creams,
lotions, serums, pads, and so on good and bad reports come
from the users.

Therefore, when considering anti-aging products consider
BOTOX if you can afford the procedures and bear a bit of
pain from the injections.

I’d prefer a few shots of whiskey before getting my BOTOX
injections

What Is Acne

What Is Acne

If you are one of the thousands that will purchase acne
treatment products this year, before you invest your money,
you need to know several things about what is happening to
your face, your chest and your body.

Often, individuals blame the acne on their body on puberty.
But, it can be caused by many more things as well. For
some, it is just this, puberty.

For others there are other conditions that may be causing
the acne to appear. If you take the time to understand why
you have acne, you are likely to learn how you can treat
your acne.

Acne is an infection on your skin. Normally, it happens
because bacteria get into your pores where it breeds. Once
the skin becomes irritated by this, it will then react in
the form of sores. This is the acne that you see on your
face.

Acne is generally caused by the occurrence of the bacteria
on your face and increased amounts of oils on the face
which make it a welcoming place for bacteria to go and
hide.

* These two things are generally the case for most types of
acne. But, there are different things that cause them to
happen. This is what you need to learn in order to know how
to treat your bacteria.

The oils that are being secreted at high levels may be due
to hormone imbalances that are caused by such things as
puberty, stress, health issues and other conditions.

* Bacteria can get onto the face from a poor level of
keeping your face and your skin properly cleaned.

* Bacteria can feed on the dead skin cells that are not
properly exfoliated away, making this a more likely target
for growth.

* Eating a poor diet can help to encourage oily skins as
well as lowers the body’s ability to fight off the
infections that it is facing.

To learn what is causing your acne problems, you should
carefully think about what is happening in your life and
improve anything that you may see as an obvious reason why
your body may be facing these factors.

In most cases, you will need to seek out the help of your
family doctor or a dermatologist when it comes to
determining your body’s reasons for over producing oil
secretion in your skin.

This can be done through a blood screening or in some cases
your doctor may not need to do anything to realize that
this problem needs to be addressed.

These are the first steps in getting rid of your acne.
