The Stress of Death

The Stress of Death
You can recall clearly the day your father took you for your first bicycle ride.

It was a crisp autumn day and the sun was shining on your brand new Huffy. You remember his hand gently guiding your bike along the road that ran by your apartment building. You even recall his smile as you began steering your bike on your own.

The memory lingers with you as you begin to make preparations for your father’s burial. He had had a long illness cancer and you knew that the end would be coming soon.Yet, you now think that nothing could have prepared you for the day when he actually died.

While you anticipated a period of mourning, you failed to realize that you would encounter a great deal of stress as a result of his death. You may be surprised even shocked by the amount of stress you feel.

We seldom associate the stress of death, yet the death of a loved one is one of the most stressful events that can happen in our lives. Whether it is the death of a parent, a spouse, a child, a sibling, or a beloved friend, death makes us anxious not only about our loss, but about our own mortality.

The most stressful aspect of death may be the fear of the unknown you may not know what to expect next, and you may wonder how you will handle the next obstacle that comes your way.

The most important thing you can do to deal with death related stress is to recognize it for what it is. Realize that it is perfectly natural for you to feel worried and anxious during this difficult time.Try to give yourself some time to pause and reflect. Don’t feel as if you have to "hurry up and get over" the death.

Allowing yourself an opportunity to grieve should help to reduce the stress of death and make you a healthier person, emotionally speaking. One thing you can do to help you deal with the stress of death is to do something positive to remember your loved one by. In other words, consider planting a tree, making a contribution to your loved one’s favorite charity, or volunteering your time at the nursing home that cared for your loved one in his or her final days.

Discovering that life still offers pleasant possibilities gives you hope and can help you to deal with your stress more effectively.Give considerable thought to how your loved one would want you to carry on after his or her death.Chances are great that your father, mother, husband, or brother would not want you sulking in the corner for the rest of your life.

Give yourself permission to go on with life. As a result, you should feel less stress and you should enjoy life more.Another effective stress reducing technique is to commit your thoughts to paper. Writing can be quite therapeutic and can help you gain perspective on your situation. The process of writing can improve your problem solving skills, making you better able to cope with your situation.

Also, give yourself time to reread your journal entries. You might be amazed at how much you’ve grown, emotionally speaking, over a short period of time.If the stress of death becomes overwhelming, by all means seek the help of a professional.

A counselor can help you to sort out your feelings and recommend coping techniques. You might find it quite liberating to talk to another individual about everything you’re feeling inside. In some cases, you might also want to consult with a psychiatrist to see if there is some medication you can take that will help you deal with death related anxiety.

All of us will experience the death of someone close to us at some time in our lives. Therefore, we can expect to deal with the stress of losing someone we love.

However, it’s good to know that there are positive things we can do to help us deal more effectively with the stress of death. While, in a certain sense, we may never get over a loved one’s death, we can learn to cope with the loss.We may even learn to smile again.

Fitness and Exercise Advice

Fitness and Exercise Advice

Fitness and exercise plays a big part in health and beauty
with good fitness and exercise comes good health so here's
some advice that I hope will help you.
According to few insulin levels play the largest role in
losing weight. Other experts determine that our body type
is the key to finding the proper exercises and diet plans
that work with the body. To find out your body type you
will need to talk to your doctor, or else visit the World
Wide Net to find answers to your questions. Other details
are available over the Internet that can help you decide on
which diet is best for you, as well as which exercises
works best with your body.

To achieve a healthier status and maintain weight diet must
combine with exercise, since one without the other will not
work. Combining healthy provisions with correct exercises
can bring you good health and physical fitness, which will
enhance your quality of life. It will also help you keep
your body’s zone to a level.

The body and mind is complicated, however both work
together to produce results. Many experts, including
theorists, doctors, scientist, and philosophers are
continuing to find answers to the body’s functions.

Some of the confusion comes when people diet, exercise and
take care of them self, yet they still gain weight. Barry
Sears wrote a compelling book titled A Week in the Zone,
which produced some outstanding advice. Some of the
information in the book helps us to decide on exercises and
diets that suit us best, since insulin plays a large part
in healthier living. The author lets us know that the
hormones consequence of intakes of carbohydrates and
caloric differ from the hormones that produce protein and
calories. , he continues letting us know that the effects
of hormones that produce fats and calories too differ in
the direction of health. (p. 3)

The author brings us to see that a balance is needed, yet
the balance is factored by the different hormonal levels.
Thus, eating healthy, giving the body proper fluids and
exercising is the only answer to living a productive and
quality lifestyle.

One of the biggest setbacks that people adhere to is making
excuses to avoid dieting and exercise. Countless of people
find it easier said than done to stick with diet and
exercise programs that facilitates them to remain healthy
while maintaining weight.

One of the largest reasons is that most people do not
understand their body and its type, or have difficulty
adhering to a schedule. One of the largest reasons why this
happens is that many people find it difficult to plan, set
goals that work, and find solutions that help the person
maintain a schedule. The threesome is the ultimate tools
for working toward good health and fitness. If you are
uncertain of the types of exercises, this too can hold you
back. Walking up and down the stairs is an aerobic
exercise. Mowing the lawn is another type of exercise.
Anytime the body is in motion, producing actions it is
exercising. Lifting 12’ ounces of beer is not an exercise.
Alcohol if overused will affect the body and mind
dramatically.

Other forms of exercise are merely walking to the store
instead of driving your car, especially if the store is
down the road. If you find it, difficult getting started
with exercise makes effort to ask a friend or family member
to join you. Otherwise, possibly at your workplace a team
of people is joining a gym to better their health, maybe
you can go with them. If you have a dog, dogs enjoy
walking, therefore put your feet in motion and make your
dog happy. Children also enjoy walking with parents,
therefore spend time with your children and exercise while
doing so.

Therefore, if you have intricacy with setting goals,
planning, or sticking to a schedule, begin by using the
stairs in place of an elevator at what time you visit your
doctor, or other appointments. In addition, you could
scythe the lawn in place of paying the fellow citizen down
the street to do the work for you. Beginning exercise is by
no means easy, but you have to start somewhere to reach a
healthier status!

What Is Aromatherapy

What Is Aromatherapy?

You may have heard quite a bit about aromatherapy in the
past. You are sure to have seen the many benefits that it
has offered, but have not really thought about it either.

Aromatherapy is a method of using the right products to
create a scent that is said to better your thoughts,
improve your mood or even to help cure you of an ailment
that you are feeling.

If you have not had the opportunity to use aromatherapy in
the past, you should give it a try. If nothing else, you
will love the smells and the way that they enlighten the
environment you are living in. In fact, that in itself is
enough to provide that aromatherapy is a great tool to use.

Learning what aromatherapy is and how it works is something
that you will want to know though. It is considered a
complementary as well as an alternative form of medicine.

In that, it is not said to be the cure all for every
ailment under the sun and you should never stop using your
current treatments for serious conditions. Yet, many people
have found this treatment to help make their lives just a
touch better all around.

Aromatherapy uses essential oils to make these things
happen. Essential oils are concentrated liquid that comes
from a plant. They are compounds that are very strong, in
their purest of forms. They are taken from a plant through
distillation, through expression or through solvent
extraction.

They are used throughout your home as it is in your
perfumes in your incense as well as in the foods that you
eat. This product from a plant is said to provide you with
a trigger for your health too. For example, the smell of a
specific fragrance may help you to trigger relaxation.

Yet, there is much more to aromatherapy than just this. For
example, the term was created in 1920 by a man named Rene
Maurice Gattefosse.

He was researching how essential oils can help in the
healing process. He began this study in part because of an
accident in which he caught his arm on fire and
accidentally poured lavender oil onto it.

The wounds healed quickly, more so than normal and they did
not leave a scar. Since then, the exploration of how
essential oils work in healing us, both emotionally and
physically has been a conquest for many.

Hair Loss Myths

Hair Loss Myths

Believe it or not, (yes, you probably do) there are many
hair loss myths out there. Just like any other type of
medical condition or any thing else that people just do not
understand, there are many things that people just do not
know about hair loss. And, there are some very amusing
types of myths out there. Here are some.

Why It Happens:

Many individuals think that the fact that they are losing
their hair has something to do with their intelligence,
their social status, their relation with one’s virility,
their job, their wealth and many other things. The fact is,
though, that hair loss is something that many people face
each and every day and it has nothing to do with any of
these things. It can be hereditary and it can be caused by
medical conditions, but surely it is not caused by how much
money you have in the bank!

If I Use My Head Too Much:

In some cultures, it is believed that an individual that
uses their brain too much or those that have had head
injuries may be at risk for baldness. This myth is one that
is thought to have been founded because the brain is
located inside the head and therefore they are directly
related. Of course, this is not true. This is even evident
in many movies where the ‘dumb’ one is bald.

Bald Men Are More Sexually Active:

While there is no real way of even knowing if this is true,
it is probably not the determining factor in if they have
hair or not. Hair loss does not have anything to do with
the sexual activity of an individual. The myth probably
comes from the fact that in some individuals, the removal
of androgens through castration can prevent baldness and
may even stop it from progressing further than it has.

There are many myths about hair loss.

If you are unsure about the facts of hair loss, you should
talk to your doctor before doing anything else. You will
want to know what is causing your particular hair loss. It
could be a medication that you are taking, a lack of
balanced hormones within your body, or it could even be a
hereditary condition that you are facing. The fact remains
that if you are one of the many that will face baldness or
hair loss this year, you may find a lot of myths along the
way to success.
